It was a fully booked Easter weekend for Arendsnes Caravan Park this year. After opening the Caravan Park one year ago, Arendsnes is no longer the unknown new kid on the block. We are fast becoming one of the most popular destinations for camping in the Brits area! Campers came from all over the country to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the bush veld. With activities and facilities like bike riding, fishing, mini-golf, swimming, game drives and braai, there were lots to do for the whole family. The shop provided in everyone’s basic needs and the bar had a real holiday atmosphere. All this could be done in a very secure and save environment as the 2.4m high electrical fence surrounding the park as well as security guards, gave all campers peace of mind. Spread your wings and visit Arendsnes, where our clients become friends!!
ARENDSNES is situated close to the Crocodile River and the Roodekopjès dam where there are a number of fish species. These fish species are a great attraction to a variety of bird life. One of these beautiful birds is the African Fish Eagle that can be heard from Arendnes when they are on one of their majestical flights.
HS Balfour visited Arendsnes from 11-13 January with their 2013 leaders group. The focus for the weekend was leadership development where learners mastered skills like communication and conflict, combined with practical and fun teambuilding activities. The weekend was made even more memorable by the great humour of the wonderful teachers like me. Mimi Wessels and mr. Otto Meyer! Thank you for the great camp, it was a pleasure working with you!
Voortrekkerhoogte High School visited Arendsnes with their RCL on 13-15 April for a leadership camp. The group took each challenge on with a positive attitude. They sharpened their leadership skills with workshops on self-development, communication, conflict and problem solving. Highlights of the camp were stalk the lantern, the obstacle course and SINGSTAR!! Well done to VTH, Mnr Anton Lombard and his team for such an amazing group of learners!
Eben Dӧnges Primary School visited Arendsnes from 11-13 November for a Leadership development camp. They enjoyed activities like archery; stalking the lantern, target shooting, raft building and many more. They also got to know each other a lot better with more personal teachings like knowing themselves (finding out what their strong points and weaknesses are), learning how to communicate, handling conflict and the part they enjoyed the most, the problem solving course. On Saturday the team was exhausted. So we decided to have a little fun by competing in a play station sing star competition. It was a huge pleasure to be accompanied by Mr. Johan van Niekerk and Misses Thea Kruger who had a watchful eye over this team of leaders. It’s awesome to see that the teachers have such a good relationship with their pupils. I think what the kids loved the most was the fact that the teachers actually participated in the obstacle courses. My God bless and guide you this year and we can’t wait to see you guys next time!!
